Event Details

The Annual Genealogy Conference begins with a look at German Research by our featured speaker, James M Beidler, author of the recently published The Family Tree German Genealogy Guide. He will present "Contrasting German Migrations, followed by "German Research Online". The afternoon session (1:30-4pm) includes Military Research, presented by Jeff Korman, former Manager of the Maryland Dept. at Enoch Pratt Free Library; and Ann Winkler speaking about free resources available from the Library including: AncestryLE; digital historical newspapers online; the new Heritage Quest and our new affiliate program with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Registration check-in from 9:00-9:25am.

For those new to genealogy - or to brush up on your skills - attend "Genealogy: Introduction and More" on April 30 at 6pm at the Bel Air Branch (registration required).
