Jeannette Walls will take attendees inside her resilient journey, growing up in extreme poverty and the tale of her emergence from it.

Her memoir, The Glass Castle, is a New York Time's Best-Seller and was named as one of the top 10 books of the decade by Amazon. 

Registration is required and space is limited. Sponsored by the Harford County Public Library Foundation, Harford County Department of Community Services, and Governor's Office for Children, the author program will be followed by a book signing and photo opportunity.

A VIP meet-and-greet reception, hosted by the Harford County Public Library Foundation, will take place prior to the main presentation. From 5:30-6:15 pm, guests will have the opportunity to meet Walls while enjoying hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine, and soda. The cost is $75 per person and includes a hardback copy of The Glass Castle, as well as preferred seating for the 7 pm author program. If you purchase tickets for the VIP Reception, you will automatically be registered for the 7 pm public program.
