Edith Head: The Woman Who Dressed Hollywood

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Event Details

Dressing the biggest stars to shine over Hollywood, Edith Head was an incredibly successful costume designer who won a record eight Academy Awards for Best Costume Design between 1949 and 1973. She was a favorite among many of the leading female stars of the 1940s and 1950s, such as Ginger Rogers, Bette Davis, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, and Elizabeth Taylor.

Even today, her dazzling career continues to inspire new generations of designers. Adored by some in the industry, detested by others, Edith Head’s highly competitive and secretive nature helped drive her career to meteoric heights. Join entertainer Martina Mathisen, as she introduces us to Edith Head during this fun and eye-opening program. In anticipation of the 93rd Academy Awards ceremony on April 25, you are invited to attend this FREE program to discover why Edith Head was one of the most influential costume designers in Hollywood history!
